Our Philosophy
This isn’t traditional boarding or training.
Moor Horse Park is a managed equine welfare environment built around track-based living and consistent aversive-free handling.
Every horse on the property lives within the same care and handling standards, regardless of whether they are here for boarding alone or enrolled in a training program.
Formal training is offered through clearly defined, optional programs for owners who want that support. Training follows the same ethical framework but is not required for boarding.
For owners, this creates a calm, predictable experience with fewer day-to-day decisions and clear expectations from the start.
Training is optional. Welfare standards are not.
Designed around movement, not confinement.
Moor Horse Park sits on a large, privately managed property in North Glengarry, Ontario, with multiple track systems and over 60 acres of maintained private trails.
Horses move throughout the day by choice — between shelter, forage, water, and varied terrain — rather than being confined to small paddocks or stalls.
Track-Based Living
Minimum 500 m U-shaped tracks with non-electric, high-visibility fencing.
Private Trails
60 acres of maintained trails for conditioning, mental engagement, and generalization.
Shelter & Footing
Large sand-footed shelters designed for airflow, rest, and social comfort.
Multiple Herds
Separate tracks allow compatible groupings and stable social dynamics.
